You've probably driven by the insane line at Lubbock's new Texas Roadhouse. It's been pretty packed since it opened earlier this month. If you're looking for a way to skip the waiting line and walk right in the door, like some kind of hotshot VIP, it's actually super simple.

They have heating lamps outside to keep you comfortable when it's cold, but the West Texas wind has been brutal lately. I don't know about you but I'd rather have less dirt in my mouth when I start cramming rolls in it. Not to mention, my hair + wind = nightmare fuel.

So, here's the big secret...

The Texas Roadhouse app has a little tab that says "Join Waitlist", which allows you to snag a spot in line and then hang at your house until your table is ready. You can kick back and pregame with a beer before you head to the restaurant. The waitlist gives you the estimated amount of time until there is a table available for your party, and then it prompts you to text the word "Here" when you arrive at the restaurant.

Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

If more people used the app, it would cut down on the number of people standing in line right now. I've never been one to download restaurant apps, but that line is pretty insane on a Saturday night, and if I'm feeling frisky and in the mood for a steak, I'll definitely be using the waitlist option.

Also, be advised that you can't use the waitlist for more than 6 people, which works out great for me, because I don't even think I have 6 friends. No complaints here.

Anyway, just wanted to give you a tip for the next time you dine at the new Texas Roadhouse in Lubbock. If you haven't been there yet, be sure to check out the gallery of photos below. It's pretty spiffy inside.
