‘Mystery’ Food From Car Trunk Goes Viral, Texans Have Hearty Laugh

Sometimes, it can be wild to realise just how different people from different parts of the U.S. can be. Recently. a post on Reddit went viral, and many Texans had a light-hearted laugh about it.

On r/Construction, a person posted a picture of a mystery food item that came from the back of a person's trunk (you probably already know what it is from that information alone).

The person described it like this: "The paste inside tastes amazing and is spicy. It has some veggies in it too and has a potato-ish taste." He also went on to say that the woman selling it did not take Venmo, so another worker on site bought it for him.

Every Texan Knows The Beloved Tamale

If you are a native Texan, you know what the food item was- a delicious, filling, satisfying tamale delivered by the angels on earth we all call "the tamale lady."

They always seem to know when you need a hearty meal the most, and I must thank them for all the times they saved my life late night at a bar.

Truly the perfect people fuel for any outside job, I'd say.

If some old, raspy voiced woman isn’t screaming “¡Tomales!” from an early 90s ford Taurus at 10:25 AM while driving through the job site; you don’t work real construction. If you’ve never ate it, you aren’t a real man. 

Those are big words, but I don't disagree.

The next time you are blessed with a car trunk tamale, remember there are people who have never had the chance to try one. Seems like we should start a charity or something.
