Where was your first job in Lubbock? I got lucky and landed a job at Daybreak Coffee Roasters, where I managed to stay employed for two or three years. A job in a coffee shop was top-notch cool, and I was super proud of it.

I kind of miss that job...

There were numerous cool businesses that my friends and I were dying to work for when we were teenagers in Lubbock. Some of them are still open today. You might even have kids working at them now, which is a good reminder to dab a little creme under your eyes tonight.
