You don't have to fly to Vegas for a 21-and-up mega pool party this summer.

What happens in Lubbock... will probably be talked about forever, but if they are talking about you, that means you're famous.

The adults-only "We Outside" pool party will be held at Texas Water Rampage (6602 Marsha Sharp) on Sunday, July 21st, 2024 beginning at 6:30 p.m.

The first 100 people will be let in for free, with a $10 entrance fee thereafter. Texas Water Rampage does not allow outside food* or drinks but does have concessions and a bar available.

*some exceptions made for health concerns, see here.

The event is sponsored by local Lubbock businesses as per the flyer:

The event will feature music from DJ Ricky Ri. Swim attire is required to attend the party.

While I feel strongly that children deserve to be members of most social events, I think an adult-only pool party is a great idea. I don't always want to share the pool with little kids, and they can have access to the pool pretty much the rest of the entire summer.

Before attending the party, you may want to brush up on Texas Water Rampage's rules for attire/ behavior/ etc. You can find the rules here. Leave the thongs and speedos at home people. You can be cute in something that covers at least some of your butt.

If you attend the party, have a great time, but know your limits if you choose to drink. Not to be a Debbie downer, but 70% of drowning deaths have alcohol involved. Luckily, Texas Water Rampage does have lifeguards on duty, but that doesn't mean you should push your luck.
