It's going to be a zoo in Lubbock this June as Critterfest returns to the Science Spectrum for an annual event that is both fun and educational for the whole family.

CritterFest is known as Lubbock's largest animal event with a number of animals for people to look at and they will even have a petting zoo and two different shows featuring birds and reptiles.

When is CritterFest 2025 in Lubbock?

This year CritterFest at the Science Spectrum will be held June 19th-22nd from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. each day. The Science Spectrum is located at 2579 South Loop 289.

What is CritterFest?

During CritterFest, the Science Spectrum in Lubbock pretty much turns into a zoo. Those who attend the event will be able to see a lot of different animals that you don't normally see in this part of the world. According to the event's Facebook page, visitors will see elephants, alligators, crocodiles, camels, sheep, goats, pigs, rabbits, big snakes, tortoises and lots of other cool animals.

There will also be two specialty shows. Avian Aces: Birds of Flight and Crocodile Encounters. Both shows have numerous show times each day during CritterFest.

How Much Are Tickets To CritterFest?

Tickets for adults cost $15 each, children ages 3 to 12 and seniors aged 60 and up are $12.50. That's for General Admission and tickets can be purchased at the door. Children 2 and under are free. There will be additional costs for feeding animals, rides, and pictures.
