
Dino Day Is Coming Up at the Texas Tech Museum
Attention kids and kids of all ages, if you are a fan of Dinosaurs (and who isn't?), you'll want to know about a great event coming up in Lubbock. Dino Day is coming up at the Texas Tech Museum and it's a great family friendly event.
Dino Day in Lubbock
The Museum at Texas Tech University located at 3301 4th Street is inviting all families out to their Dino Day event. During the free, family event, citizens will be able to explore the museum's collection of extinct animals and even hear discussions about fossils.
Those attending will also be able to take part in great activities according to a press release from the museum. Those include:
- View fossils up close.
- Dig for dinosaur bones at the sand table and play the Triceratoss game.
- Listen to a 45-minute presentation on Texas fossils starting at 1 and 3 p.m.
- Explore the cosmos with free planetarium shows every 30 minutes.
- Complete and turn in a fun adventure workbook for a bag of goodies.
- Speak with the museum's paleontologist on site.
Dino Day is Saturday, September 20th from 11:00am to 4:00pm at the Texas Tech Museum. Dino fans of all ages are encouraged to attend.
