Malouf's has been an iconic Lubbock business for over 75 years, but its run in Lubbock is coming to an end.

Malouf's opened in Lubbock in 1949 and has been at the center of Lubbock's fashion and design industry since. Since being founded by John Malouf, the iconic store has offered custom tailoring, higher-end fashion brands, jewelry, consultations, and more. Whenever someone walked into Malouf's they knew they were walking into a different experience that isn't matched at many places.

Malouf's celebrated its 75th anniversary in Lubbock back in September, but according to a press release, the long time Lubbock business is ready to close its doors in Lubbock for good. Malouf's also operates a location in Southlake, Texas and it will remain open.

According to a press release, Malouf's will offer discounts on select items beginning Thursday, October 31. As of this writing, no closing date has been set.

Malouf's is just the latest business to close its doors in Lubbock. While not officially closing down, instead just moving operations to Southlake, its still a big loss for Lubbock as its been a longtime Lubbock favorite. Losing any local business hurts, especially one that has been around for 75 years.

According to the press release, there will be discounts on clothing, accessories, and even store fixtures beginning Thursday.
