Lubbock Police are looking for two suspects who allegedly robbed a man at gunpoint after the man pulled over to check his phone. According to KAMC, the victim told police that after noon on Thursday is when the incident took place.

The victim told Lubbock Police that he had pulled over in the 5800 block of 16th Street to check a map on his phone according to KAMC. The victim claims that as he was pulled over, a car pulled up and two men, armed with handguns got out of the car and rushed to the truck to and opened both doors.

A police report stated the victim said both suspects had “black semi-automatic handguns.” According to the report, the victim said the two punched him “several times” and threatened to shoot him. The suspects took cash and a pistol from the truck before they got back in their vehicle and “fled in an unknown direction,” according to the report.

The victim had “minor injuries to his face,” and received treatment at University Medical Center after the incident, the report said.

As of Monday night, no new details have been released.
