This Lubbock Favorite Is The Fastest Growing Restaurant in the World
Lubbock has its fair share of restaurants. We are known as a city that likes to go out to eat. And it seems like every month a new restaurant or two are opening up and taking their turn as the new "it" place.
Just think about it. Just about any time a new restaurant opens, there is a wait to get in and for about a month or two Lubbock's new "it" restaurant stays consistently busy. And that's a great thing for the employees and for the owners.
But one restaurant seems to always be busy in Lubbock, and now a new report claims that it could be the fastest growing restaurant in the world.
According to a report from the Dallas Morning News, business at Texas Roadhouse is booming and the Kentucky-based chain is worth an estimated $2.3 billion dollars.
The report from Brand Finance says Kentucky-based Texas Roadhouse is now worth $2.3 billion — an increase of 56% in 2023. This growth is a result of the company’s expansion strategy, the report says. The chain now encompasses 700 locations with plans to hit 900 locations in the coming years.
Texas Roadhouse is targeting smaller markets — areas with populations between 40,000 and 60,000 people — as part of its expansion plan, according to the report.
In a recent earnings call, Texas Roadhouse CEO Jerry Morgan said the company’s annual revenue surpassed $4 billion for the first time in 2022, according to Nation’s Restaurant News. He said the chain plans to double its annual revenue in the next decade.
The World's largest Texas Roadhouse is the new location in Lubbock, and it seems like, at least to me it is packed most evenings. Doesn't surprise me at all that the company would be growing as fast as it is.
