Kohl's has closed all its stores across the U.S. amid growing concerns about the spread of COVID-19, the novel coronavirus. This includes the Lubbock store, located at 3307 98th Street.

The company, which operates more than 1,100 stores across 49 states, put out a statement late Thursday announcing that through April 1st, all Kohl's stores will be closed. The company on Facebook promised to pay employees during the 2-week period.

“To demonstrate our support of the efforts underway to contain the spread of the coronavirus, we are closing all Kohl’s stores through at least April 1. We will support store associates with two calendar weeks of pay,” said Michelle Gass, Kohl’s chief executive officer.

Kohl's website and mobile app remain open for business, so to speak.
