Lubbock Lake Landmark Uses Unique Resources to Make PPE Components
The Lubbock Lake Landmark is such a treasure here in Lubbock. I cannot wait to go on another Landmark After Dark hike or see any of their awesome exhibits.
While they may be closed to the public for now, that doesn't mean they're sitting idle. In fact, they are using their unique resources to manufacture components for personal protection equipment (PPE).
You can read Dr. Stance Hurst's super interesting, albeit a little technical article on his process at the Landmark's website.
Basically, he's utilizing a 3D printer to make ear guards, which changes the pressure point from behind the ears to the back of the head, which is way more comfortable, especially if you have wee delicate ears as I do.
