Lubbock Man Indicted for Aggravated Assault With a Deadly Weapon
On Tuesday (June 5), a Lubbock County Grand Jury indicted a suspect on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Twenty-two-year-old Kivalier Russell is accused of firing a gun during a dispute in the Depot District on May 13th in the 1800 block of Buddy Holly Avenue.
The bullet from Russell’s gun struck the back window of an SUV and hit a passenger in the back seat. The Uber driver took his injured passenger to UMC, where he was treated for the gunshot wound.
In addition to the charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, Russell was also charged with two counts of domestic assault in a separate incident.
He remains in custody at the Lubbock County Jail in lieu of a $250,000 bond.
