New Homemade Taco Stand Coming to Lubbock
Now this is going to give Lubbock something to taco bout.
If you've been to Midland, Dallas, San Antonio or Albuquerque recently you may have heard about Rusty Taco. Well, good news for those who love it or tacos is opening a location here.
Rusty Taco is still working on all the final details, but have confirmed to me that they're working on a site for the Lubbock area.
If you've never heard of Rusty Taco, they opened their first location in Dallas, Texas back in 2010.
For owner Rusty Fenton, the goal for the restaurant was to make nothing fancy, just food that was flavorful and cheap. It's going to be a great place to get a taco and a drink all in one spot. Rusty Taco offers food that's fresh and made by hand. I mean, just look how delicious the food below looks.
I haven't had the chance to eat at a Rusty Taco, but looking at their menu makes me really excited for them to get here. They serve breakfast tacos, handmade tacos, nachos, sides, margaritas and dessert. Y'all know I'm a sucker for breakfast tacos so I'll be trying those for sure. As for the other tacos, the Fried Chicken Taco has my attention.
According to Franchise Times, "Rusty Taco, one of seven concepts owned by Inspire Brands, signed multi-unit agreements that will expand the brand in Nevada, Texas, Utah and Virginia. Sheila Abusaab signed the largest of the agreements, for five restaurants, and will develop Rusty Taco in Midland and Lubbock."
The first West Texas expansion is in Midland, which is now open, meaning Lubbock is next. While the exact location is still unknown and they're working on finalizing everything, you can find more about them on their official website.
