One Arrested After Crews Respond to Structure Fire

One person was arrested after Lubbock Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire the morning of Thursday, February 13th.
Units responded at around 11:30 a.m. to the 3000 block of Idalou Road and found a subject burning wood products in a wheelbarrow inside the building, which had been designated "Unlawful to Occupy" by the Codes Department.
The Fire Marshal's Office was called to assist, and when investigators arrived they detained 2 suspects.
One was released but the other, 31-year-old Ardie Taylor Jr. was arrested and booked into the Lubbock County Detention Center on charges of Arson, a State Jail Felony and Criminal Trespass.
Lubbock Fire Department's Facebook page says that the cause of the fire was classified as incendiary.
