Power Outages Reported in Southwest Lubbock on Thursday

Thousands of Lubbock Power & Light customers were affected by an outage in Southwest Lubbock on Thursday, December 5th.

At around 4:44 p.m., the LP&L Outage map showed that over 4,000 customers were being affected.

Power was almost fully restored by around 5:15 p.m.

LP&L Spokesperson Matt Rose says the outages were caused by construction workers accidentally bringing equipment in contact with an electrical line. No one was injured.
