On Monday, November 4th, a federal judge ordered that a Seminole man remain in custody for a sex crime involving a minor.

KAMC News reports that the mother of the victim made a report to Lubbock Police on October 8th that a 55-year-old family friend had sexually assaulted her child on multiple occasions at different locations. The child told their mother that this happened over an unknown amount of time.

Michael Billups has been charged with transportation of a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity.

Court records say that Billups waived a preliminary hearing October 30th.
