The Salvation Army is warning donors to beware of a bogus email appeal which asks for donations to The Salvation Army's Relief efforts in Japan. The appeal, claiming to be from "Salvation Army National Corp.," urges donors to send a donation to an email address which IS NOT a valid Salvation Army address. Read more about it on the next page.
With cold weather creating dangerous conditions this week, The Salvation Army will reach out to individuals staying on the streets and those without heat to make sure all have are sheltered from the cold.

LUBBOCK, TX (January 21, 2011)- The Salvation Army of Lubbock and Furniture Row are partnering to provide each household affected by last week’s apartment fire with $1,000 in new furniture. The Salvation Army will provide $500 to each household and Furniture Row will match this donation.
A West Lubbock apartment complex caught fire around noon today, displacing 40 residents and causing the apartment’s roof to collapse.
The two-alarm fire was at Twin Oaks Apartment complex in the 5800 block of 22nd Street.
