We will never forget these musicians we lost tragically in aviation accidents.

This is a pretty old, and really cool, piece of Lubbock music history.

It was 25 years ago today that a plane crash took the life of Stevie Ray Vaughan. Although Austin was his home base, Vaughn was a frequent visitor to Lubbock. He, in fact, was scheduled to play The South Plains Fair before he died.

On May 4, 1989, legendary Texas blues guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan kicked off the last tour of his short, celebrated career.
