After a successful regular season that included an extended winning streak to finish the year culminating in a Big 12 Championship, the Red Raiders flopped in Big 12 Tournament.

The loss to West Virginia didn't matter, because the Red Raiders locked in a 3-seed anyways.

The 3-seed Red Raiders will play the 14-seed Northern Kentucky on Friday in the round of 64. If they win the opening game, they'll face the winner between Buffalo and the play in game-winner 11-seed matchup, either Arizona St. or St. John's.

There's also some familiarity between St. John's and Texas Tech, with Tariq Owens transferring from that team this past off-season.

They're joined in the West Region of the bracket by fellow Big 12 school and 9-seed Baylor, 1-seed Gonzaga, and 4-seed Florida State. Also in the West, Michigan as the 2-seed and Buffalo as the 6-seed.

There are also two potential rematches from last season with Nevada and Florida in the seven-ten matchup. Texas Tech beat Nevada last regular season, and Florida in the round of 32 last NCAA tournament.
