One person was shot after it's said he just asked to see the suspect's gun outside of a Lubbock gas station.

KAMC News reports that a gunshot victim arrived at University Medical Center at around 1:45 a.m. An officer arrived and was told the victim was with multiple people inside a vehicle parked at a gas station. He claims he heard screaming from the driver's side and then felt he had been shot. He looked down and saw he was bleeding.

The other people that were in the vehicle told police that the victim had asked to see the suspect's firearm. At this point, the suspect is said to have become defensive about given the gun to the victim, so he shot at him.

The other people in the car then began fighting with the suspect, leading to additional injuries.

The victim said that they weren't positive which gas station this happened at, but said it was probably the Quick Track at 34th Street and Frankford Avenue.

One person was arrested, however it wasn't specified whether or not this arrest was in relation to the shooting incident or for a previous warrant. None of the identities of those involved have been released.
