A Lubbock Man’s Wife Held Him at Gunpoint for Some Marital Issues
The Lubbock Police Department was dispatched to the 1700 block of East 2nd Street on Wednesday, April 19, at 8:30 p.m. after a domestic disturbance call was received. Officers arrived at the scene to discover an altercation between a husband and wife that had occurred earlier.
KAMC news reports that the suspect, the wife, arrived at the victim's, the husband, place of employment after a family member shared some information. The family member accused the suspects husband of cheating on her causing the wife to leave that area and drive straight to her husbands job.
The victim saw his wife when she arrived and left to go home before he pulled over to the side of roadway. The husband did not notice that while on his way home he was followed by his wife and was confronted when he stepped out of his vehicle while pulled over. The victim was met by his wife and a gun she used to hold her husband at gunpoint, momentarily, before ordering him to get back in the vehicle and head back to their home.
The husband then called police and told them on arrival that his wife had been at his place of work with the gun she used to hold him at gunpoint, momentarily, while on the side of the road to order him back in the vehicle. Lubbock Police did arrest that woman and charged her with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. As per the publishing of this article that woman has since posted bond and there is no word as to if she returned to the home shared by her and her husband.
