A Petition Demands That “Weird Al” Yankovic Headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show
"Weird Al" Yankovic has had a big year, and there's a movement underway to make it even BIGGER.
There's a new petition on Change.org, asking that "Weird Al" headline this year's Super Bowl halftime show. And last we checked, it had over 43,000 signatures.
So, what would it be like if Weird Al did get the gig? Well, the petition floats this BRILLIANT idea: Have the people whose songs Al is parodying actually join him onstage.
There would be a lot of enticing options. His new album, "Mandatory Fun", parodies Pharrell, Lorde, Iggy Azalea, Imagine Dragons and Robin Thicke.
And he could toss in some of his classics, like "Amish Paradise" with Coolio, "Like a Surgeon" with Madonna and "Another One Rides the Bus" with Queen!
