A Texas News Station Had to Report on Their Own Anchor Breaking Someone’s Nose
I really hope they let this woman back on the air, just so she can cover any updates on this...
A local news station in Texas had to report on a story this week after their own anchor got arrested for breaking someone's nose.
Her name is Heather Kovar. She's been the weekend anchor at KBTX in Bryan, Texas for just over a year. If you aren't familiar with Bryan, it's right next to College Station, where Texas A&M is.
Here's her mugshot:
They ran a story about it on Tuesday and didn't give a ton of details. But a competing news station revealed the nose she broke belonged to her BOYFRIEND.
They were arguing at a Tex-Mex restaurant across the street from Heather's apartment on Monday night, and she'd apparently had a few margaritas. Then they left and went back to her apartment, where things turned physical.
She allegedly punched her boyfriend in the face 12 times, bit his arm, scratched up his other arm, and he barricaded himself in the bathroom.
Court documents said he ended up with a "bloody, broken nose." She's facing domestic violence charges.
According to her bio:
Heather Kovar has returned to her home state of Texas to anchor the Friday 5pm and weekend news broadcasts on KBTX.
