Captain Marvel may be on the way to blow our collective minds, but who could ever forget the sheer toughness and resilience of Linda Hamilton's Sarah Connor in the Terminator series?

Terminator 2 is an James Cameron action classic. Fun fact: It's also the first rated R movie I ever saw. The film won four technical Oscars, including Best Makeup and Best Visual Effects, which it absolutely deserved.

Alamo Drafthouse in Lubbock is screening the film on Sunday, March 3rd at 6 p.m. Tickets are available through the Alamo Drafthouse website.

The showing is part of a programming series called "Girl Power," which highlights bad-ass female film icons. Coming up in April is 1991's horror thriller masterpiece, The Silence of the Lambs.
