Amarillo Police Discover Meth, Crack Cocaine, and Marijuana During Search of Home

Earlier this week, two people were arrested in Amarillo after authorities found multiple drugs and a weapon.
On Monday, January 3rd, the Amarillo Police Department executed a search warrant at a home in the 800 block of South Mississippi Street, located in the San Jacinto neighborhood.
During the search, 9.5 pounds of methamphetamine, 3 pounds of marijuana, 4.3 grams of crack cocaine, and an assault rifle were found.
Two suspects were arrested at the scene; 49 year-old Sammy Barrow and 40 year-old Narvella Mitchell. Both were charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute 500 grams or more.
An investigation is ongoing.
