I'm so sad to announce that there's another closure in Lubbock.

This time it's a coffee and pastry shop called Bara’ that's been open in Lubbock for around three years.

They posted the really sad news on July 14th, 2022. If you've never been to this coffee shop you really missed out.

"It is with heavy hearts that we are officially announcing the closing of Bara’. Thank you guys so much for all the sweet memories and an amazing adventure," the owners wrote on Bara's official Facebook page.

Bara was located at 4404 122nd Lubbock, Texas. I had a chance to go in there a couple of times. The owner and workers were so sweet and nice. It was run by a mother and daughter duo. They made all their family recipes and pastries from scratch. You could really tell how passionate about their store and love for coffee.

This was a perfect place in Lubbock that was local, had some great, charming coffee and was a great spot to chat or study. Plus, they had really good pastries and teas. If you've been there, you've also seen their "Pay It Forward" board to give back to the first responders, teachers or just to share some love with anyone.

When they posted the closing announcement on Facebook (see below), they didn't give any additional details about the reasons behind the decision. They are officially closed now, so interested folks unfortunately can't check them out anymore.

I'm so sorry to see y'all have closed. This is another important reminder to support local businesses as much as you can. With rising prices and everything else going on in the world, they really do need our help. Bara' didn't say financial issues were the reason they closed, but it's still a good reminder.

You will be missed, Bara'.
