Baby Dolls could survive conservatives, political enemies, and topless bar bans; but it could not survive the fire that decimated it earlier this month. The long-standing, iconic adult entertainment business in Fort Worth, Texas was declared a total loss on July 10th.

In business since 1978, the gentleman's club is situated right outside the city limits of Arlington, Texas on FM 157. According to CBSnews, the Fort Worth Fire Department received a call reporting smoke at the closed nightclub, they arrived on the scene just five minutes later to combat the blaze.

The Euless Fire Department provided additional units as the two departments worked to douse the flames.

Ultimately, the fire ravaged the building until the back wall collapsed, followed by the roof. Firefighters stated that they were working to determine the cause, which is unknown as of the time of this publishing.

Baby Dolls gained notoriety when laws banning the operation of topless bars were passed in the late '90s and early 2000s. See, the establishment was right outside city limits, so the ban did not apply. So, lusty men of the metroplex gravitated to Baby Dolls to get their eyes on some headlights.

CBS News Texas additionally reported that they had contacted a representative of the company that owns Baby Dolls and have been told that the company plans to rebuild.

So it may be a case of where one VIP room burns down, another one opens. Time Will tell.
