Back-to-School in Texas Tip: Kindergarten Teachers Hate Cupcakes
A kindergarten teacher in Illinois is going viral after kindly asking parents to stop bringing cupcakes in for their kid's birthday.
She says little kids have a hard time eating them, and they're too messy. So things like cookies and Little Debbie snacks are much better.
Here's the video...

I thought this was interesting mainly because I don't have kids of my own, but I DO have nieces who are all grown up now. When they were little, I banned ALL cupcakes from my house after my sister dropped them off to hang out with me one afternoon and showed up with two cute nieces and a GIANT box of cupcakes.
Those little girls got cupcake frosting on every couch, chair, wall, cat, dog, and floor. As far as I know, there's cupcake frosting on my roof to this day. It was a disaster of epic proportions! My sister thought it was funny. My mom and dad thought it was funny. I did NOT think it was funny...but my nieces still joke about it to this day and call me "Cupcake Hitler', which is a terrible nickname and they should be more creative than that, I've thought them better!
All kidding aside, cupcakes really are a bad choice for school room birthday parties for the little guys. Like this teacher said in the video, Little Debbie (or similar) snacks, cookies and things that can easily be held without making a mess are MUCH better for the younger kids.
And, probably most importantly, who DOESN'T love a Little Debbie snack every now and then?!?
