I've never been one to chase the newest and latest restaurants that come to Lubbock. It's frankly ridiculous when traffic enforcement is needed for the latest national chain coming into Lubbock because people are lined up down the block to get in line.

I don't lay awake at night dreaming of the next shiny In-N-Out Burger equivalent to grace our beautifully dusty city. No, what really whets my appetite is the building with the sign falling off-putting their life into serving incredible food to the community.

Does your restaurant have a capacity of 18? Even better.

Those are the places that are normally family-owned with the secret ingredient of love going into every dish. Luckily, Lubbock has its fair share of incredible 'hole in the wall' restaurants that might seem unassuming on the outside, but kick out delicious food daily.

In fact, I'd argue that 34th street in Lubbock has as many of these types of eateries as any other town in Texas.
