Brittany Brewer is one of the most prolific Lady Raiders of all-time, racking up double-doubles, points, rebounds and blocks on her way to an incredibly productive career at Texas Tech. As one of the top talents in women's college basketball, she was on the shortlist to be selected in the WNBA draft.

And that's exactly what happened when she was selected 17th overall by the Atlanta Dream.

Brewer became the first Lady Raider drafted in the last 14 years, but couldn't celebrate with her Lady Raiders family in person, so they all joined a Zoom call to celebrate with the newest member of the Atlanta Dream.

ESPN graded the Dreams' draft as a B+, with this to say about Brewer: "The Dream had the worst record in the league last year, but this is a fresh start of sorts with the moves the team made in the offseason and this draft. Brewer is an intriguing pick because she was one of the rare true centers in this draft; she averaged 16.6 points and 10.3 rebounds this season for Texas Tech."

Brewer will join another familiar face in Atlanta who has been playing with the Hawks the last few seasons.
