If you've ever wondered which branch of the U.S. Armed Forces has the biggest appetite, you'll have a chance to find out today as Bubba's 33 brings back one of Lubbock's most entertaining summer traditions.

It's called Burgers for the Brave, and it's equal parts friendly competition, community celebration, and fundraiser for an incredible cause.

Military Pride Meets Burger Glory

Today (Wednesday, July 15th, at 4:00 p.m.), representatives from different branches of the United States Armed Forces will gather inside Bubba's 33 on Slide Road for an all-out burger-eating showdown.

The mission?

Eat.

Win.

Claim bragging rights for your branch.

Competitors will battle for this year's Burgers for the Brave Champion title, along with exclusive swag and, perhaps most importantly, the ability to remind the other branches who came out on top.

Expect plenty of friendly trash talk, big laughs, and a whole lot of burgers disappearing in record time.

It's All For A Great Cause

While the competition promises plenty of entertainment, there's an even bigger reason behind the event.

Burgers for the Brave helps raise awareness and support for Homes For Our Troops, a nonprofit organization that builds specially adapted homes for severely injured post-9/11 veterans.

These custom homes are designed to help injured service members regain independence and improve their quality of life.

So every cheer from the crowd and every burger consumed helps shine a spotlight on a mission that truly matters.

Come Cheer On Lubbock's Service Members

One of the best parts?

Admission is completely free.

Bubba's 33 is encouraging the entire community to come out, bring the family, and cheer on the competitors as they put their stomachs, and their pride, to the ultimate test.

According to Tiffani Vasquez, Local Store Marketer for Bubba's 33, the annual event has become one of the restaurant's favorite traditions because it celebrates the people who serve our country while supporting an outstanding veterans organization.

More Than Just Great Burgers

If you've ever been to Bubba's 33, you already know it's one of Lubbock's favorite places for scratch-made burgers, pizza, wings, and ice-cold drinks...and the BEST fish & chips on planet earth!

But events like this remind us that it's also a business committed to giving back to the community.
