Broadway Is Coming Back to Lubbock: Two Big Shows Set for Buddy Holly Hall

Single tickets for two productions in the 2026–27 Broadway at the Buddy Holly Hall series go on sale Tuesday, August 18th, at 10 a.m. And while both shows are completely different, they have one thing in common: they should make for a pretty entertaining night out in the Hub City.

First Up: “Waitress”

The 10th Anniversary Tour of “Waitress” rolls into the Buddy Holly Hall November 20th–22nd.

Based on the story of Jenna, a waitress and expert pie-maker stuck in a rocky marriage and dreaming of a different life, the musical mixes humor, heart and plenty of pie.

And yes, there are some wonderfully ridiculous pie names involved, including “The Key (Lime) to Happiness Pie” and “Betrayed By My Eggs Pie.”

The show features original music and lyrics by Grammy Award winner Sara Bareilles, whose hits include “Brave” and “Love Song.” The production celebrates friendship, motherhood, finding your independence and, apparently, the magical powers of baked goods.

Then Comes Neil Diamond

From November's pie-based drama to December's rhinestone-ready rock-and-roll celebration, “A Beautiful Noise: The Neil Diamond Musical” arrives December 18th–20th.

The production tells the story of a Brooklyn kid who became one of America's biggest music stars.

And we're talking BIG.

Diamond has sold 120 million albums, landed countless classic songs in the American musical consciousness and earned spots in both the Songwriters Hall of Fame and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, along with a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.

The musical features songs including “Sweet Caroline,” “America” and “Forever in Blue Jeans,” while telling the story of Diamond's remarkable rise to fame.

Tickets for both productions go on sale Tuesday, August 18th, at 10 a.m.

And here's an important warning: organizers say those are the only official ticket sources. Buying somewhere else could mean paying more and, worse, ending up with tickets that aren't guaranteed.
