What's the Lineup?

Mark your calendars for Saturday, July 6, when the lake throws its annual Independence Day celebration—complete with a FREE live concert from Tejano artist AJ Castillo and a fireworks finale that'll leave your jaw on the sand.

Music kicks off at noon with AJ Castillo, known for blending Tejano, Cumbia, and Latin Pop with high-energy accordion wizardry, will take the stage around 4:45 PM. If you’ve never seen him live, this is your chance—and yes, it’s totally free with admission. The concert is presented by Maximum Power, with help from Pollard and Temple Electric.

When Do the Fireworks Start?

Then, as the sun sets and the s’mores settle in, a massive fireworks display will launch at 10:00 PM, illuminating the lake and sky in true West Texas style. If you’ve never seen fireworks reflect off the water--this is your chance!

Awesome 98 (98.1) will have the patriotic music to go along with the show too! You can even listen on your free app or right here!

Admission is just $15 for adults, $5 for kids, and free for little ones under 5. That gets you access to food trucks, swimming, boating, jet skiing, and shoreline vibes all day long. Gates open early, and it’s first-come, first-lake-space—so don’t wait to grab your spot.

Pack your sunscreen, bring a lawn chair or blanket, and show up hungry. From turkey legs to tacos, the food truck lineup is always solid and the food at the marina is fantastic!
