A man from Clovis, New Mexico was transported to a Lubbock hospital after he was shot in the chest.

KAMC News reports that 24-year-old Jesus Navarette was brought to Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis a bit before 3 a.m. It's said he was shot at an apartment complex. Police later went to the scene and were able to find shell casings. Surveillance footage was also obtained but what the footage captured was not specified.

Navarette was later transported to University Medical Center in Lubbock with critical injuries. His current condition is unknown.

What led to the shooting along with the suspect have not yet been revealed by police, but an investigation is ongoing. Anyone wishing to share information regarding the case is asked to call 575-769-1921.
