It always seems to be a never-ending journey...finding the best cup of coffee.

This is what a lot of us rely on to keep us awake through the day, but if you have a bad cup, it will ruin the whole day. I have tried out so many coffee places in the 806. Here are the best places I have come up with for you to try.

1) Monomyth

You are guaranteed to have a good experience at Monomyth. Located at 2024 Broadway St, the friendly staff, bright windows, and great coffee make this shop such a great place to study or meet up with friends. I recommend the iced vanilla latte while you’re there.

2) J&B

J&B is a coffee staple in Lubbock. Close to Texas Tech at 2701 26th street. Its busy atmosphere makes this one my personal favorite. J&B is also open late so it’s a great spot to hang out with friends in the evenings. During the summer, I love the frozen hot chocolate.

3) Gold Stripe’s Coffee

Gold Stripe’s Coffee has two locations, one is hidden away in Cactus Alley at 2610 Salem Ave Suite 5. The other location is at First Bank and Trust on 9816 Slide Road. You can also find Gold Stipes Coffee on wheels at the downtown farmer’s market, my go to is the caramel cappuccino.

4) Caffeination Station

The newest addition at Rockridge Plaza, Caffeination station offers a unique menu with monthly specials, dine in or drive through and my favorite thing besides coffee shopping. Torque Fashion is located inside Caffeination Station for you to sip and shop. My go to drink is Lost in a memory

5) Sugar Browns Coffee Co

If you haven’t yet found a cozy, charming coffee shop to call home, you can stop by Sugar Browns

Located at 6701 Indiana Ave Suite A, Sugar Browns offers fresh pastries, an iced or hot cup of joe. You will not be disappointed. French vanilla latte is the one for me at Sugar Browns.

Do you remember your first drink of coffee? How was it? Was it anything like this?
