Officially, Oktoberfest is a two-week festival in Munich, Germany that celebrates Bavarian culture, food, and beer. But, you don't have to go all the way to Germany to celebrate the occasion because the folks at The Escondido Grill and Spirit Ranch are doing a BIG one on September 29th right here in Lubbock!

If you don't know where The Escondido Grill and Spirit Ranch are located, they're out near the airport. Instead of turning right off of the interstate to go to LIA, you'll turn left on Regis street and head about a mile down the road.

There really isn't a better place in Lubbock to host an event like this. The scenery out there doesn't even look like the Hub City, it looks like something out of 'Bridges of Madison County'!

There's peacocks, lakes, streams and a BIG meadow where the live music will be set up for this event.

The music lineup looks great too!

I don't know much about the other two bands, but Legal Limit is one of my local favorites. I mean, they have the incomparable Darren Welch on guitar!

There's LOTS of beer and food too.
