Deadly Vehicle Accident in Lubbock Kills One on Easter Sunday
A major car accident in northwest Lubbock killed one and injured another on Easter Sunday.
Lubbock police were called to the accident scene near 19th Street and Vicksburg Avenue at 10:20 a.m.
One person was found dead at the scene, according to KAMC News, where two pickup trucks collided. At least one other person was taken to University Medical Center with serious injuries.
An LBK Alert notification was sent out on behalf of the Lubbock Police Department at 11:27 a.m., asking local residents to avoid the area so that they could investigate the accident. LPD Accident Investigators closed traffic for 19th Street, between Utica and Slide, for more than an hour.
