Drug Bust in Floydada Results in Marijuana and Cash Seizure, Plus an Arrest
A Floydada, Texas man was arrested after authorities found marijuana and other illegal drugs as well as cash inside a vehicle.
On Wednesday, April 6th, 2022, Floydada police officers executed a search warrant on a home in the 100 block of West Marivena around 8:30 a.m. Three vehicles at the scene were seized, as well as another vehicle found in the 500 block of East Houston.
Officers say a large amount of marijuana was found in addition to other narcotics and an undisclosed amount of cash.
Thirty-nine-year-old Charles Trey Holmes was arrested and booked into the Floyd County Jail, but has since bonded out of jail.
The Floydada Police Department spearheaded the operation along with the Texas Department of Public Safety, U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives and the Motley County Sheriff's Office.
