Father’s Day Fun in Lubbock: Six Awesome Ways to Celebrate Dad
Father’s Day is Sunday, and if you’re scrambling to find the perfect way to celebrate your old man—don’t sweat it, Lubbock’s got you covered! Whether your dad is into books, barbecue, classic cars, or just clowning around with video games, there’s a little something for every father figure in town this weekend!
Take Him to the Library
Let’s start with something chill and thoughtful—how about brunch and a book? On Saturday, June 7, head over to the Patterson Library (1836 Parkway Dr) for the Pre-Father’s Day Book Tasting & Brunch from 10 a.m. to noon. It’s a laid-back way for dads to connect over conversation, coffee, and good reads.

Arts & Crafts
Crafty dads (or kids who want to make Dad something special) will love Board & Brush’s Father’s Day Make-&-Take workshop at 3 p.m. on Saturday. For just $15, you can build a custom wooden sign together at their shop on Boston Avenue. Warning: this may lead to excessive dad pride.
How About a Car Show?
If your dad's a gearhead, swing by the Father’s Day Car Show and Outreach at Ministerios Nueva Vida on Saturday, June 14. There’ll be a collection of classic cars that’ll have Dad feeling like he’s back in his high school glory days!
And for the adventurous types? You can’t go wrong with the Adventure Park Father’s Day Bash, also on Saturday, June 14. From noon to 2 p.m., the park will host a car show—and once that’s done, you can zip line, climb, and go full-on action movie with your pops.

Game On, Dads!
On Sunday, June 15, Dave & Buster’s is bringing back the 'Dad Games' at 1 p.m. Families compete together for arcade bragging rights and prizes like free gameplay for a year. If you ever wanted to see your dad go head-to-head with a 7-year-old in Skee-Ball, this is your chance.
Take Him For Coffee
Finally, round out the day with a coffee and chill session at 7 Brew Coffee with live music and Father’s Day specials (times TBD).
Bottom line? Lubbock’s got all the bases covered for Father’s Day. From meaningful moments to adrenaline-pumping fun, there’s no excuse not to make this weekend one to remember!
Now go hug your dad. Or at least beat him at air hockey.
