Former Brownfield Official Sentenced to 12 Years for Child Pornography
The former Director and Chair of the Brownfield Industrial Development Corporation has been sentenced to 12 years in federal prison for possessing child pornography.
Back in October of 2021, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children sent a Cybtertip to the Texas Department of Public Safety. DPS was able to locate 43-year-old Brian Brisendine through an email address associated with child pornography that was uploaded to DropBox.
Brisendine was arrested back in January of 2022 after the FBI obtained a search warrant for his house in Brownfield. Child pornography was found on Brisendine's devices following the search of his home. He was booked into the Terry County Jail the day after the search.
Brisendine spoke with officers the day he was booked and told them that he sexually fantasized about children as young as 4 months old. Since around 2014 he had apparently been collecting and trading child pornography, viewing somewhere between 5,000 and 10,000 images and/or videos of child pornography over time.
KAMC News reports that on top of needing to serve 12 years in federal prison, Brisendine was also sentenced to a 15-year supervised release term that will be served once his prison sentence is finished.
