It's time to get ready for the Lubbock Annual Howl-O-Ween Dog Run and Haunted Hustle presented by West Texas Endurance on Saturday, October 17th according to their website.

You still have time to train with your four-leggeds, but this fun family event shouldn't be too extreme. You have two different courses to choose from and you can mosey on through at your own best pace for this run-walk challenge.

So get those Halloween costumes ready and get registered. This popular event will be busy and you'll want to be sure to start planning. Start exercising with your pup and take time to be creative with this year's costume.

How cute is a dog in costume? Needless to say very high marks on how very awesome this can be. So have fun with it and pick your path.

You can choose between 2 distances. The 2K9 takes you and your four-legged on a 1.2-mile excursion. Or you can run a 4- mile course without your pup, a 2-legged venture that promises to be scenic and historic.

The exciting 4-mile trail takes you around Canyon Lake 6 plus a thrilling path that cuts through the cemetery, possibly a little spooky this time of year.

Here's what they share on their website for this year's event:

The “family-friendly” course of 2K9 (1.2 miles) will take you along the beautiful Canyon Lake 6. The more challenging 4-mile course will have you running through the City of Lubbock Cemetery and paying tribute to Lubbock’s most famous son, Buddy Holly. The course will conclude with a loop around Canyon Lake 6.

Dog supplies will be collected and donated to Morris Safe House.

So get set for this fun-filled Halloween time adventure. Follow this link to their website for all the exciting details.
