Not all heroes wear capes. Some just drive pickups with mighty doors.

What would you do if you were sitting in the drive-through line at Chick-Fil-A and spotted a guy running from police? Most people would probably lock their doors and roll up their windows, but a man in Jacksonville, Texas decided to door-check the dude.

Good thing for us it was all caught on camera.

The Jacksonville Police Department published the video to Facebook Wednesday afternoon. You can check it out below.

According to Jacksonville PD, officers tried to stop a man in a stolen vehicle and he took off running. The guy must have figured he could somehow lose the officers tailing him if he weaved through a crowded drive-through line, but he didn't count on a door in the face.

I love the description Jacksonville PD wrote in their Facebook post:

"A hungry customer, who was waiting patiently for his chicken sandwich, used his door to stop the suspect. The suspect was quickly apprehended after the “HANGRY” (but helpful) citizen reminded the suspect as to why you should never run from the police."

In the video below, you can see the concerned citizen smack the fleeing suspect with his door, throwing the guy off his balance and slowing him down just enough for a pursuing officer to catch up and tackle him.

The driver of the truck then exits his vehicle and tries to lend the officer a hand. From what I can see, it looks like the officer sets his own weapon aside so he can better grapple with the suspect.

The guy in the truck appears to move the gun aside, as if he fears the suspect may reach for it. There's no audio from the surveillance footage, but I imagine the officer thanked the guy, but asked him to back off. Another officer then enters the frame to help.

It's a good thing the driver of the big maroon vehicle pulling up just as the suspect goes down was paying attention, or things could have taken a tragic turn.

Now I need the internet to do its job and set the guy getting whacked in the face to Jay-Z's "Hard Knock Life". Someone get on that!
