Hiding in the Hub City – Lubbock’s ‘Hidden Gems’ Revealed!
The other day, I was thinking about some hidden gems in the Hub City that don’t always get the spotlight but definitely deserve it. Whether you’re grabbing a bite, needing new glasses, or looking for a cool gift for someone, these places are local favorites that might just become your new go-to.
First up, Joel’s and Mi Taco Village. If you know, you know—these spots have been serving up great food for years, but somehow they still fly under the radar. Greg Amburn says they’re well-known, but no one talks about them enough. Well, we’re talking about them now!
Then there’s Escondido Grill, one of Stan Brewer’s favorites. It’s a popular spot but still feels like a hidden gem. Perfect for those looking for a fantastic meal without the long lines. Plus, you get to hang out with Peacocks!
Shae Montandon gives a shoutout to Manara Cafe and Gold Stripe Coffee Roasters. If you’re a coffee lover or just want a cool place to hang with friends, Gold Stripe is a must-visit, and Manara Cafe is serving up flavors you don’t typically find in Lubbock.
These are just a few spots that locals love—so give them a try, Lubbock!
