Holiday Magic: Create AI Hugs and Watch Real Tearful Reunions [VIDEO]
In their new video, “Holiday Hugs,” Klick uses AI-generated videos to create lifelike hugs between employees—called “Klicksters”—and the family members they were missing. At first, it’s touching and surreal, like something out of a sci-fi Christmas movie. But here’s where the waterworks really start: After watching their virtual hugs, those loved ones show up in real life for surprise reunions!
Here's the video:
Take Kari Bocassi from New York. After watching an AI hug with her sister Marlene, Kari tearfully told GoodNewsNetwork.org, “I just wish I could really squeeze her right now.” Moments later, Marlene came bursting through the door, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. The two hadn’t been together for the holidays since caring for their mother, who had Alzheimer’s.
Another story featured Fred Duarte in Toronto, who hadn’t hugged his brother Rico in seven years—because Rico lives in Brazil. After watching his AI hug, Fred got the surprise of a lifetime when Rico walked into the room and gave him the bear hug of all bear hugs!
Klick says hugs aren’t just good for the soul—they’re good for your health, too. The National Institutes of Health says they can lower blood pressure and boost your immune system.
Here’s the coolest part: you can try it yourself. Klick Health posted a how-to video showing how they did it, so if you’re missing someone this season—or just want to create a little holiday magic—you can give it a shot!
So, whether you’re getting hugs from family, friends, or your favorite tamale-maker this season, hold on tight, Lubbock. This holiday magic reminds us: Technology’s cool, but there’s nothing like the real thing.
