I grew up in Lubbock, Texas and I have to say, it's a pretty great place to call home.

I spent uncountable hours with my friends riding bikes all over Melonie Park South. We went to the South Plains Mall religiously and went to stores like Spencer's Gifts, RCA Cafe (where I heard the song 'Kokomo' by the Beach Boys for the first time), the video game place in the corner by Mervyn's (I don't remember what it was called), Chick-Fil-A (you could only get it in the mall back then), and Sears! I LOVED wandering around Sears. I miss that place.

We also went to the Skate Ranch, Texas Water Rampage, those batting cages on 34th that the softball coach guy owned ( I can't remember what they were called!), laser tag, Maxey Park. Ups & Downs bicycle track, and sooo many other places!

So, how about you? Where did you hang out with your pals after school or on a summer day? Did you get into trouble or were you a good kid. Maybe a little bit of both?!?

We asked you, "Where was your favorite place to hang out as a teenager in Lubbock?"

Here's what you had to say...

Usually, we ask about current events (ZERO political questions), food, pets, holidays and things along those lines. Basically, we just want to get to know our listeners better and we want to know your opinions on certain things.
