If You See Black Smoke Coming From The Airport, Its Just The Fire Department Training [VIDEO]

The Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport posted on their Facebook page that the fire department would be doing training there this week to stay FAA compliant. So if you see smoke coming from the airport, its supposed to be there. Don't freak out.

Obviously our fire department does constant training and works non-stop to keep us safe. That includes having a presence at our airport. So they have to train specifically on plane fuselages to be as on the ball as possible in case of emergencies. So watch this video of them practicing, and just know that the black smoke north of town isn't an emergency. And our fire department is on top of everything.
