These 30 Texas Cities Have The Most Expensive Homes
With Texas being as large as it is, and with numerous metro areas, there are bound to be some very wealthy neighborhoods. But just how wealthy?
When talking simply about wealthy people, most live in Houston, Texas -- as we recently found out. In total, the Texas city has 20 billionaires and over 90,000 millionaires in residence, according to Visual Capitalist. That's a lot of wealth in one place.
However, despite Houston having the most wealthy people living there, the city doesn't necessarily have the most expensive homes. That title is reserved for another place.
What Metro Area are the most expensive cities in?
Stacker compiled a list of cities with the most expensive homes using data from Zillow. That data revealed what 30 cities have the most costly homes in Texas, many of which are near major metro areas.
The cities with costly homes were primarily around these areas:
- Dallas - Fort Worth - Arlington: 12
- Austin - Round Rock - Georgetown: 7
- San Antonio - New Braunfels: 5
- Houston - Woodlands: 2
Currently, the most expensive home for sale in Texas is actually in Preston Hollow in Dallas, Texas -- listed for $47 million.

Coming in hot with home prices typically valued at $2,785,322 is Westlake, which is in the Dallas - Fort Worth - Arlington metro area.
