There are quite a new faces since our last update in January- while the total number only went up by 2, eight of these people are new to the list- meaning a few "old" ones fell off as they either went on to prison, were set free, or headed to an institution.

There are some shocking trends with this list- you'll notice that some of these people are quite young- 17, 19, etc. It's a very early age to possibly throw your own life away by ending the life of another person's.

One man on the list was previously convicted in 1996 for kidnapping and shooting a Texas Tech student- luckily, that person survived despite having been shot in the head. No,w that man is accused of another murder that happened recently.

Some of these crimes could be eligible for the ultimate punishment. Capital crimes in Texas can have the death penalty on the table. However, prosecutors usually reserve the death penalty for the most serious (and convictable) murder cases, as they are very expensive to prosecute.

Capital crimes in Texas include murders of children, public servants like police or corrections officers, and murders committed during other felonies, like kidnapping or robbery.

Please note that many of the people on this list have not yet had their day in court- and should be considered innocent until proven guilty.
