"I'll do that when it cools off."

How many times have you heard someone in your household say that over the past few weeks?

Summer in Lubbock seems to have a way of putting things on pause. It's not that we are super lazy...it's that we are trying to survive the weather without becoming a rotisserie chicken.

Instead, we spend a few months making plans for our future (much cooler) selves to do...

Here are a couple of things that are probably getting pushed off at your house due to the heat.

Going For Walks

Yeah, absolutely not. There will be no "walks" until at LEAST September or October. Sorry. Not happening.

Cleaning Out The Garage

You know what's hotter than outside?

Your garage.

Just sitting there, baking in the sun.

Sounds like a project for the winter...

Those bad boys are thriving. You are not.

Sitting On The Porch With Your Morning Coffee

Unless your morning coffee happens at 4 or 5 am, you're probably putting this one off until this cool down.

Planting A Garden

This one makes the list because every single week, I say I'm going to "plant the garden." It's yet to happen. The seeds are just staring at me from a bag by the back door each time I walk by. Sorry, little dudes. Maybe next year...

Finishing Outdoor Projects

New garage still half-built from back in the Spring?

I don't blame you one bit.

This heat doesn't play games.

Actually Enjoy Being Outside, Period

Yeah. Basically.

If I'm not indoors, I'm unhappy. Point blank—the end.

What do you keep promising yourself you'll do when it cools off?

Drop it in the comments wherever you come across this article. I have a feeling we are all making a pretty similar list...
