My morning show partner and I have been doing our best to diet lately, but every once in a while, we get a hardcore hankering for the best breakfast in town. We start obsessing about it until there's just nothing that can stop us from heading over to our favorite place to get the goods. Today was the day.

Today was biscuits and gravy day.

Wes Nessman and I splurge and eat a massive plate of biscuits and gravy, Migas, cheesy potatoes, and sausage or brisket, from Market Street on 98th and Quaker, at LEAST once a month. I chose brisket today, which you can see in the picture above. Wes' food was gone before I could get a photo. It doesn't last long.

Holy smokes, guys. That is some dank breakfast. I'm telling you. Nothing beats it. The only downside is that afterward, it takes everything in me not to just walk over to the couch in my office to take a big fat snooze.

Not only is the food excellent, but the employees in the deli are also totally awesome, and they don't make you feel like a fatty for asking for extra sausage gravy. They know what they have. Trust me. You can't even see the biscuits in my picture...but they are in there somewhere...or at least they were until I demolished them.

Also, our two massive breakfast plates came out to a grand total of $13.58. Tell me that isn't the best deal in town!? We are completely stuffed and probably won't eat anything else for the rest of the day, maybe the week even.

Don't sleep on the deli at Market Street, Amigos, and United Supermarkets. The food is fantastic and really reasonably priced. Just make sure you put on your stretchy pants before you dig in, or you'll regret it later.
